It’s
important to submit your Google blogger to Google Webmaster page once you’re
set to get your blog more exposed. You need to do that to get your blog indexed
and included in Google search engine.
After
submitting your blog, you’re required to submit an XML sitemap to enable Google
spider crawl your blog on regular basis. This is very vital if you really want
to make money online through your blog.
Here
are simple steps to follow:
· Visit the Blogger sitemap creator at http://ctrlq.org/blogger/ as shown below.
· Type in your Blog’s URL and click “Generate
Sitemap”. You’ll see the outcome as shown below:
Note: The Sitemap starts from “User-agent”. You have to copy the entire
data as from “User-agent” to “500”
· Visit your Blogger dashboard and
click “Settings”. Go to “Search
Preferences”. Then look at “custom
robots.txt” and click Edit. See picture below:
· Mark “Yes” for “Enable Custom robots.txt” as shown below. You’ll then paste the
sitemap data you’ve already copied into the box. You must click “Save changes”
to allow changes take effect.
· You have to submit the sitemap link to
the Google webmaster page in order to enable Google crawl your blog and index
the pages. The link you’ll copy will look like this:
http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
You’ll paste it in the box that
shows when you visit the Google Webmaster tool. Note that, you need to submit
your blog’s URL to Google Webmaster page before you add the sitemap.
Finally, you have to be re-submitting the sitemap on Google
Webmaster page each time you add more pages or posts on your blog. You’ll
always see the number of URLs indexed as you check the Google Webmaster page.
